Beta

Create a QR cross-stitch grid, then test what you actually stitch.

StitchMosaic locally encodes short text or a URL with M-level error correction and a four-module quiet zone. The initially generated digital grid is checked independently, but edits and physical stitching can change whether it scans.

Make a stitchable QR code

Private by design

Generated locally with M-level error correction and the required 4-module quiet zone. Keep every dark module unchanged and test the finished piece with more than one phone before relying on it.

Created locally in this browser; no prompt or chart pixels are sent to a generator.

Project file

Save or move a chart without uploading the source photo.

OXS is under fixture review; XSD/PAT are not accepted. Format details

Your chart will appear here

Upload a favorite photo, choose your stitch size, and we’ll map every square into a maker-ready chart.

How to use QR Mode Beta

Start with the mode, then keep the whole studio workflow.

01

Keep the modules and quiet zone clear

Strong dark-light contrast, square modules and the untouched white border give a scanner the best chance of reading the result.

02

Treat every edit as a scan risk

Recolouring, erasing, filling or adding full or advanced stitches can break the encoded structure even when the chart still looks QR-like.

03

Test the finished piece

Scan the physical result with multiple phones across iOS and Android under ordinary conditions before sharing or displaying it.

Truthful limits

Know what this mode does before you begin.

  • QR content must contain 1–240 characters.
  • Only the initially generated digital grid is decode-tested; edited charts and physical stitching are not guaranteed to scan.
  • Never use a stitched QR pattern as the only channel for security-critical or essential information.

Frequently asked

Useful answers, not a thin mode variant.

What does the Beta label mean?+

The generated digital grid is usable and decode-tested, but the physical reliability gate has not been completed with the required stitched samples and device coverage.

Can I recolour or add stitches?+

Pattern Studio allows edits, but recolouring, erasing, filling or adding stitches may stop the QR code from scanning. Test again after every change.

How should I test a finished QR piece?+

Test the physical result on multiple phones, including iOS and Android devices, and keep the information available through another non-QR channel.
